Privacy policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Altendi is a household assistant in private beta, available by invitation only. This policy explains what Altendi does with the information of the people who use it.

What Altendi stores

  • Your account details: name, email address, and the settings you choose (such as timezone and briefing time).
  • Your conversations with the assistant, and the tasks, notes and reminders you create.
  • If you connect Google Calendar: an access grant from Google, stored encrypted, and copies of events from the calendars you select.

Google user data

  • What's accessed: events on the Google calendars you choose to connect, and the list of your calendars so you can choose.
  • How it's used: only to provide Altendi's features to you: showing your schedule, answering your questions about it, reminders, and planning help. Altendi creates, changes or deletes an event only after you approve that specific change in the app.
  • AI processing: to answer you, event details are sent to the assistant's AI model provider (Anthropic) as part of the conversation. Under its API terms, the provider doesn't use this data to train its models. Altendi doesn't use Google user data to train or improve AI models.
  • Sharing: Google user data isn't sold, used for advertising, or shared with anyone else, except the AI model provider as described above, or where required by law.
  • Storage and security: data is stored on a private server. Google access grants are encrypted at rest and are never shown to you or to other members of your household. Each person sees only their own calendars, as Google shows them to that person.
  • Disconnecting and deletion: you can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in the app's settings. This revokes Altendi's access with Google and deletes the stored grant. You can also revoke access from your Google Account's security settings. To have your other data deleted, contact us.

Altendi's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who can see your information

Your conversations, tasks, notes and calendars are private to you within Altendi: other members of your household can't see them. The people who operate Altendi can access data only for maintenance and troubleshooting. For members under 18, the assistant may send the household's admins a safety alert, without any conversation content, if it believes you may be in danger.
